MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT & FORESTS

(Department of Environment, Forests & Wildlife)

New Delhi, the 1st February, 1988

G.S.R. 71(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (I) of section 19 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 (14 of 198 1), read with section 6 of that Act, the Central Government after consultation with the Central Board for the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, hereby declares, with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the whole of the Union territory of Chandigarh, as air pollution control area.
