U.S. Scientific Body: People Are to Blame for Global Warming
Human activity is the culprit in rapid global warming, according to a new report released by the U.S. Climate Change Science Program. The body's report also says that computer modeling does effectively simulate climate change patterns.
The report is the 10th of 21 assigned to be issued by the CCSP, which was created by President Bush in 2002 to review the validity of the science behind climate change predictions before the administration made policy decisions.
"The evidence is pretty convincing that the models give a good simulation of the climate," said the report's lead author, David Bader, who works at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California.
