MNISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTS NEW DELHI, 8TH FEBRUARY, 2011. Constituting National Coastal Zone Management Authority S.O. 302(E): By an Order of the Government of India, Ministry of Environment and Forests No S.O. 1268(E), dated 19th May, 2009, The Central Government had constituted the National Coastal Zone Management Authority for period up to 31st December, 2010. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), The Central Government reconstitutes the National Coastal Zone Management Authority, where the committee would have powers to take measures for protection and improvement of the quality of the coastal environment and preventing environment pollution in the coastal areas.
