Amendment to the Notification S.O.1174(E), Dated the 18th July, 2007

S.O.1894(E).--In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 12 and Section 13 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) read with rule 10 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, the Central Government hereby recognizes the laboratories specified in column (2) of the Table given below as environmental laboratories to carry out the functions entrusted to such laboratories under the said Act and the rules made thereunder, and the persons specified in column (3) as Government Analysts for the purposes of analysis of samples of air, water, soil or other substances sent for analysis by the Central Government or the officer empowered under Section 11 of the said Act for a period specified in column (4) of the Table aforesaid, and for that purpose makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment and Forests, number S.O. 1174(E), dated the 18th July, 2007, namely:--
In the Table appended to the said notification, (i) for serial number 8 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely :--
