Environment (Protection) (Amendment) Rules, 2011
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6 and 25 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), the Central Government made the following rules further to amend the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, namely: In the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, in Schedule I,--
(a) in serial number 91 relating to 'NOISE LIMIT FOR GENERATOR SETS RUN WITH PETROL OR KEROSENE', in paragraph 8, 'Certification body' at serial number (2), the name of National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi shall be deleted and existing serial numbers (3), (4) and (5) below shall respectively be renumbered as (2), (3) and (4), and after item number (4) so renumbered, the following item numbers and entries shall are inserted
“(5) International Centre for Automotive Technology, Manesar, Haryana; and
(6) National Test House (Northern Region), Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.”.
