Nos. 2250-2251: The State of Madhya Pradesh which proposes to construct a submersible Bridge across Parvati river falling within the National Chambal Crocodile sanctuary, has agreed to the following conditions: a) 1.5% of the estimated cost of the project will be deposited in the Compensatory Afforestation Fund for conservation and protection of National Chambal Crocodile Sanctuary in the State of Madhya Pradesh; and b) the conditions stipulated by the Chief Wildlife Warden will be strictly complied with. On complying with the same, the project is approved.

- The Irrigation Department of the State of Uttar Pradesh is seeking permission for construction of an embankment on the left bank of the river Ganga from village Sherpur to village Theg falling in the Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary. Subject to fulfillment of the following conditions, the project is approved: a) Approval of the Standing Committee of the NBWL shall be obtained before starting any work on the project; b) 5% of the estimated project cost of Rs.24.58 crores will be deposited in the Compensatory Afforestation Fund for implementing the mitigative measures, suggested by the CWLW, in the sanctuary; c) for the use of the non-forest land falling within the sanctuary, the NPV will be deposited as per the Hon'ble Court's order dated 28.3.2008 in the NPV matter; and d) the conditions stipulated by the Chief Wildlife Warden will be strictly complied with.
