Enforcement Date of the Rules for Manufacture, Use, Import, Export and Storage of Hazardous Microorganisms/ Genetically Engineered Organisms or Cells Specified

S.O.677(E).-- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (2) of Rule 1 of the Rules for Manufacture, Use, Import, Export and Storage of Hazardous Microorganisms/ Genetically Engineered Organisms or Ceils, published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary--Part II--Section 3--sub-section (i), dated December 5, 1989 (published in 1990 CCL-III-262 [121] : 1990 LLT-III-143 [71]), the Central Government hereby notifies the 1st day of October, 1993 as the date on which the said rules shall come into operation.
